The Venue
Knudepunkt 2027 will take place at Vejen Sportscenter in the center of Jutland. It is a local sports complex consisting of several buildings including the center itself, which will serve as the main venue, a hotel, a hostel, separate apartments and cottages as well as a number of other facilities. The venue has a lot of potential for both physical and cerebral activities, with larger gym halls and boxing studios as well as meeting rooms and lecture halls. There are even several swimming pools.
Vejen Sportscenter is a local hot spot when it comes to sports and swimming in the community. For the duration of Knudepunkt some areas of the venue will remain open to the public. So you can expect to see the locals in some areas of the venue, while others will be closed off to everyone but Knudepunkt participants.
Vejen Sportscenter has been a trusted companion of the Knudepunkt and other Danish larp conferences for almost a decade. Throughout our time at Vejen Sportscenter they have constantly evolved and upgraded their facilities. They are a beacon of local community in Vejen and we can think of no better partner to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the KP/SK tradition with.

Arriving by bus

Arriving by plane
We encourage you to not fly to Denmark for Knudepunkt 2027, if you have other options.
We are aware that not everyone has the money and/or time to take the train to and from Denmark, but perhaps it is a possibility for some to only go by plane one way.
If you decide to fly to Denmark, we suggest you find a departure without layovers or as few as possible. Takeoff and landing are big contributors to CO2-emissions, and one layover easily adds 20-40 percent emissions compared to a direct connection for short European trips.
If you are traveling from overseas destinations, please note that Knudepunkt 2027 is almost as close to Hamburg as it is to Copenhagen and that the local airport (Billund) has poor public transit connections to Vejen.
Sleeping arrangements
Knudepunkt 2027 has a number of different options for sleeping on location. These vary based on what type of ticket you buy when you register for Knudepunkt.
Hotel
The hotel is located a short walk away from the main venue, across the main road going by the sportscenter. Rooms at the hotel vary in size from 3-7 beds and have different amenities depending on which type of ticket you buy. All rooms come with bedding and linen, which will therefore not have to be brought by participants. Most rooms in the hotel have their own bathroom and shower, but some rooms share a communal shower. It is not allowed to drink or party at the hotel.
Hostel
The hostel is located right next to the main venue. Here there are several rooms with four beds each, which all come with their own bathroom and shower. Rooms also include bedding and linen. The building has a small lounge which may be used as a sober hang out spot, but no partying is permitted at the hostel. Especially since Knudepunkt shares the building with a local daycare on Thursday and Friday.
Apartments
There are 22 apartments on location, each with five beds. These apartments are located a short walk away from the location on the other side of a large football pitch. The apartments each have their own bathroom and shower as well as bedding and linen for each participant. The apartments are cleared for partying and music and participants sleeping here can expect more noise in the evening. We expect people to be respectful of each other and consider their neighbours when partying in the apartments.
Dormitory
A gym hall inside the main venue which can hold up to 90 people. Sleeping in the dormitory means that you have to bring your own sleeping gear (mattress, sleeping bag, pillow, towel, ect.) and that you are comfortable sleeping in a room with many other people. People sleeping in the dormitories will have access to the communal showers at the main location, where there are both private and public options.
Food
Food at Knudepunkt will be vegetarian, with our primary concern being to offer vegan, gluten free and lactose free alternatives to the main vegetarian meal. Other allergies and dietary restrictions will be taken into account to the best of our abilities. During the sign-up process you will be able to make us aware of any dietary restrictions. Knudepunkt cannot promise that all restrictions can be accommodated, but we will be in contact should it not be possible to accommodate your specific dietary restrictions.
